No racing stats, no graphs, no analysis, no comparisons.
Lets just get to know Jenson Alexander Lyons Button ( yea, that’s his full name ) better:This is a compilation from various interviews that he had given at some point during his carrer and which are available online. ( References: BBC & jensonbutton.com)
Your F1 hero?
I don't have one, but I used to love the racing between Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost in the late '80s and early '90s. I liked James Hunt back in his day, but not necessarily for racing reasons.
What's on your ipod?
Lots of different stuff, from the Eagles through to the Pigeon Detectives. There's lots of dance music on there as well.
Your best movie of all time?
I still think Pulp Fiction is great, and Swordfish is good too. I think Quentin Tarantino is great.
Your favourite actor?
John Travolta.
Are you a good cook?
No, not at all. The best thing I ever cooked was broccoli and Stilton soup, and I know it was excellent because my mum told me so! Although I can't cook, I love food. Fish and pasta are my favourites, and Japanese food is high up the list too.
What's your daily exercise routine?
It's not a routine because I vary it every time. But on a normal day, I have two sessions: a Cardio Vascular session and a weights session. The CV work could be anything from a sprint of 45 minutes to an endurance session of three hours; the weights session could also feature some core stability work to strengthen the abs and the lower back.
Your secret to a happy life?
Being surrounded by fantastic people, and I'm very lucky in that way. And being able to laugh at yourself is important too.
Something that you never leave home without?
Underpants and my Ray Bans.
If you weren't a racing driver, you'd be a...
I haven't really thought about it, but I know I couldn't sit behind a desk. It would have to be something which involved fitness and something fast. Something that got the adrenaline pumping, so probably a sport.
What three words would you use to describe what it's like to be a Formula One driver?
Wow, wow - and wow
What is the biggest perk of the job?
Racing a Formula One car against the best drivers in the world - it's as simple and amazing as that.
How would you like to be remembered as an F1 driver?
As a world champion and someone who worked very hard to build a strong team.
Who is the worst dressed Formula One driver?
He has already left F1 (Michael we miss you).
Ayrton Senna or Alain Prost ?
In my view it would be wrong to try to choose between them. They both had some amazing qualities.
Spa or Monaco?
For me, Spa is more of a fun circuit because you can race and overtake. Monaco is intense but I prefer a circuit where you can really race.
What would be your perfect day off?
Lying on a beach with my girlfriend, a bit of reading, a bit of scuba diving, then a nice massage.
Where is your favourite place to go on holiday?
The south of France. It's great that it's right on my doorstep. Great food and great beaches.
Tell us something about yourself that most F1 fans might not know.
In my hometown (in Frome,England) there is a pub named after me - The Frome Flyer on Jenson Avenue. How cool is that?!
James Bond or Austin Powers?
James Bond, but only Daniel Craig because he does the rough and tough stuff. I think every guy likes to imagine themselves in the James Bond guise. ( Well our Jenson shares the same initials with Bond....J.B.)
